Volunteer Opportunities

We have many opportunities to serve in a volunteer position here at Muir Lake Community Alliance Church.

Please read through the available opportunites, and see if you think any would be a good fit for you.  There is also information on the Bulletin Board in the entrance.

If you find something that interests you, let us know, and we can get you in contact with the appropriate Ministry Leader.

Kid Zone Volunteer

We have a great children's ministry here, and we could not do it without our volunteers.  From nursery workers, Sunday school teachers, and teacher's helpers there are many places where help is needed!  All of our volunteers are required to read through and understand the importance of our Plan to Protect, and provide us with a criminal record check prior to volunteering.  If you are interested in working with the children's ministry, please email us and we will forward your request to Donita.

Coffee Bar Volunteer

Our coffee bar is the focal point in our foyer, and we appreciate always being offered a hot cup of coffee, and a snack on Sunday mornings!  There is a minimal time commitment for this position, you must arrive approximately half an hour early to start the coffee, and clean up following the service as well.  If you like to bake, and make people feel welcome, this might be the position for you!

Sound Technician

If you are more comfortable behind the scenes, working on a computer, this might be the place for you.  All training is provided, and the commitment is minimal.  Our sound techs arrive at about 8:45 on a Sunday morning to practice with the worship team, run the slide show during the service, and are done about 15 minutes after.

Operation Christmas Child Helper

Each fall we take part in the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child program.  Our Kid Zone and our Youth group do packing parties, as do some of our small groups.  We need a person to oversee ordering the supplies, and arranging delivery of the filled boxes to Beulah Alliance Church on drop-off day.

Greeters and Ushers

Greeting everyone who walks through our doors on a Sunday morning is an extremely important job!  If you like to smile and make people feel welcome, this is the place for you!  There are only a couple small responsibilities involved, including counting attenders, and taking the offering.

Youth Volunteer

Have a great idea to entertain teenagers??  Want to make a snack to feed the starving youth??  Do you enjoy driving??  We do have Youth leaders, but they can always use our support!  If you have any thoughts or want to help out, just talk to Tracy or Sabrina.  They would love to hear from you!
